Peter Alef

NCARB

Peter brings over 35 years of technical design and construction administration for large complex public projects. His extensive experience in the field contributes to his deep knowledge of how to detail buildings that can be constructed efficiently and effectively to meet client needs for long lasting, high quality facilities. He leads in-house QA/QC project reviews to ensure our design documents provide complete and clear information that minimize contractor questions and change requests. He is currently providing construction administration for the Western Washington University Ethnic Student Center, the Willamette View Continuing Care Community and the Hood River School District Bond projects.

Prior to joining Opsis, as Project Architect for a large national firm, Peter completed over 30 major projects including the Anaconda-Deer Lodge START Facility, a 118 bed mental health facility in Montana and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the City of San Francisco. Other significant projects include the $50 million Multnomah County Justice Center, the Portland Montgomery Park Building renovation, the Oregon Graduate Center, the KOIN Tower and the OSU Gilbert Hall.

Peter earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oregon and is a licensed architect in the state of Oregon. In his free time, he is an avid cyclist and custom bike builder.
