Project Manager

Portland, Oregon-based Opsis Architecture is searching for a Project Manager to join our practice. The Project Manager position seeks a team member with leadership potential who is interested in opportunities for growth with our firm. Our ideal candidate has design sensibility and is someone who understands design but has an affinity for project management work. This position requires someone who is able to represent and advocate for our client’s needs on the project team. The Project Manager must possess basic skills of project management (budgeting, scheduling, staffing, etc.) and values, at the highest level, the attentive care of and consideration for our clients. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, proven communication and collaboration skills, and be experienced in client and contractor exposure and confidence with presentation skills. The Opsis Project Manager thrives in and enjoys a deadline driven work environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture.
  • Proficiency in the technologies that support architects to excel.
  • 10+ years’ experience in a professional architectural practice.
  • Professional Architect License.
  • Ability and desire to lead projects with a degree of independence depending on project size and complexity.
  • Understand and value the power of collaborative design.
  • LEED Accreditation or a strong interest in sustainable design as a starting point for commitment to the demands of our clients and the passion of our firm in the realm of diversity and inclusion, sustainability and the power of architecture to lead in the creation of an open, empathetic, and regenerative society.
