Opsis Celebrates the Promotion of Erica Dunn to Principal

 

Opsis Architecture is thrilled to announce the promotion of Erica Dunn, AIA, CPHC, LEED AP, to the role of Principal. Since joining Opsis in September 2022, Erica has been instrumental in strengthening team dynamics and forging solid partnerships with clients, demonstrating exceptional leadership in management and design thinking.

With a career spanning over 20 years in the architecture industry and a dedicated focus on zero energy projects for the last 13 years, Erica is deeply committed to making a positive impact on communities through sustainable projects. Recognized as one of eight new Fellows in the New Buildings Institute’s (NBI) Senior Fellows program, Erica is a recognized leader in sustainable design. In addition to being recognized as a NBI Fellow, Erica is a PHIUS Certified Passive House Consultant (CPHC®) certified in applying passive building principles in a cost-optimized, climate-specific manner. Her contributions have not only advanced our firm’s mission but also inspired a culture of excellence within Opsis.

In her role within studio and the Opsis Project Management group, Erica sets an example of compassionate and effective leadership, demonstrating how a humanistic approach to management can elevate team performance and mentorship processes. Her infectious enthusiasm and dedication to uplifting those around her have been instrumental in shaping our firm’s ethos.

Erica’s passion and mentorship extends beyond her project work at Opsis. She is deeply committed to fostering a more inclusive industry. As a mentor in the New Buildings Institute’s Next Gen program, Erica supports BIPOC college students in their pursuit of careers in sustainable design, underlining her dedication to community impact and diversifying the field.
